NML Laboratories

Currently the NML group utilizes three separate lab spaces; Talbot 225, DTL, and DUNE.

Talbot Laboratory from the Engineering Quad

Our space in Talbot 225 serves as our headquarters for the majority of our operations. This space is used by both our undergraduate and graduate students for computational and experimental work on our projects.

Dynamic Testing Laboratory

Our off-campus lab hosts a D-T fusion-based neutron generator that is capable of powerful neutron emission. Some of the experiments we have run here include Pulse Shape Discrimination, comparisons of scintillator materials, as well as soil carbon level experiments

DUal-energy NEutron Lab

Our new facility will host a deuterium deuterium fusion neutron generator which is the first of its kind in the US.

It will be used to perform scintillator characterization, neutron interrogation studies, and neutron imaging studies while also having potential medical applications
