NML alumnus Muzammil Siddiqui, who was a recipient of a University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Nuclear Engineering Scholarship funded by the NRC, is doing inspections in the field at a nuclear plant. Keep up the good work, Muzammil, and congratulations on your new job!
Congratulations to Noah Rebei, for the Best Poster Award at the 2020 Virtual Summer Research Symposium of the UIUC Young Scholars Program. Noah presented his work on “Quantitative Imaging Algorithm for a Non-Destructive Holdup Monitoring Robot”.
Congratulations to Stuti for winning the Best Paper award, second place.
ARISE students visited the NML on March 2, 2020. The purpose of the tour is to show the broader context and motivation of our research and provide an opportunity for the ARISE students to ask questions to NML members about our research but also personal motivation.

Prof Di Fulvio in the List of Teachers Ranked as Excellent by Their Students for Fall 2019. This list is based on ICES forms completed by students during the Fall semester of 2019. To be included on the list, instructors needed to be rated among the top 30% across campus in their respective Elective-MixedRequired course group. Congratulations, Prof. Di Fulvio!
Noah has done a great job in the summer research program. He is presenting his poster at the WYSE Summer Research Symposium.
Ming attended the 2019 Exotic Beam Summer School (EBSS) held at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, from June 23 to June 29. The school aims to introduce students and young researchers to the various facets of the science of exotic nuclei including nuclear structure, nuclear astrophysics, fundamental interactions, and the application of nuclear science and technology.
